Environmental and Ecological Literacy (Reflection)

The topic of environmental and ecological literacy was the first topic that the reporters reported on face-to-face this year. They have discussed how to be environmentally literate, ecologically literate, ecoliteracy, and greening initiatives in colleges and universities. They asked questions about the environmental issue that we know, mostly said climate change and global warming. They consumed mostly out time for that period yet sir still enlightened us on the terms we didn't fully understand with the reporters like what is the difference of environmental and ecological. Also, he added few words about how

As I have heard about the greening initiatives in colleges and universities, a question pops up into my mind asking how it looks like when colleges student's gardens since I didn't expect that college students still have time for participating greeny activities as if they are not stressing their self for adult life.

I can remember when we were in elementary school, there are a lot of environmental values that out teachers and lessons always says. The teacher wants us to clean our surrounding, the inside and out side of our room and always tells us that we should always put our trash on our bag or pockets if there's is no trash can. And now that I am now in college I am not expecting that there are still missions, visions and students are highly involved to this actions.

The issues on environment and ecological like the climate change, global warming, pollution, land slide and such are very alarming. The world is slowly changing and the effects highly affects the ecosystem and its people. There are a lot of negative effects that these issues brought to the humanity. Having different environmental issues is connected to the emerging developments of the world,

It is important for us to still promote a green and eco-friendly environment. Helping and taking care the environment doesn't have a age and any descriptive requirement. As young as we are we must already know how our environment works and how important it is and also how to take care of it.

It's time for us to continue the values that our elementary teachers teach us, we must put it on a higher level. Don't hesitate to join groups that are concerned to the environment, and be a responsible individual of the society. We can create a plan or a check list that contains tasks showing how you love your environment and by simply doing it you can contribute to the environment.
